A 34-lesson scheme of work for teaching ‘Boys Don’t Cry’ by Malorie Blackman at GCSE. This scheme of work uses a ‘blended learning’ approach, covering skills for both GCSE English Language and GCSE English Literature. It incorporates whole-class reading of the novel, activities on each chapter, non-fiction writing, narrative writing, literary and linguistic devices, punctuation and grammar.
